| Applications | Vasicinol showed a high sucrase inhibitory activity, and the IC50 values was 250 μM. It was shown to be reversible inhibitors of sucrase. Kinetic data revealed that Vasicinol inhibited sucrose-hydrolysing activity of rat intestinal α-glucosidase competitively with Ki values of 183 μM, respectively. These results suggest vasicinol could be an useful treatment for metabolic disorders. Transient hypotensive agent, cardiac depressant. Histamine antagonist, shows mild anticholinesterase activity. |
