| Applications | Plantamajoside from many plants have been extensively studied for their various biological functions such as anti-hepatotoxic, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive activities, improving sexual function and antioxidant activity. Exhibits antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and several plant pathogenic bacteria. Decreases some human leukocyte functions. No observed adverse effect level (NOAEL) of the plantamajoside concentrate in rats after oral administration is considered to be greater than 2000 mg/kg in rats under the conditions employed. |
