| Applications | Mangiferin was tested for potential pharmacological activity and was found to have a significant hepatoprotective effect against liver damage induced by acetaminophen, carbon tetrachloride and D-GalN in rats. Mangiferin has been reported to possess significant antidiabetic activity. It showed antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. It showed inhibitory effects on type II 5α-reductase in vitro. |
