| Applications | Liquiritigenin is a kind of flavonoids existed in R. glycyrrhizae, with the polyphenolic structure. It has been reported that liquiritigenin could possess cytotoxic activity against five human cancer cell lines in vitro. Also found liquiritigenin inhibited the cell growth of SGC-7901 and Lovo. Due to the polyphenolic structure of liquiritigenin, our study would also demonstrate that either prooxidative or antioxidative activity is involved in the effect of liquiritigenin on SMMC-7721 cells.
