Biologically active aldosterone isomer; a mineralocorticoid produced by the adrenal cortex that induces urinary excretion of K+ and renal reabsorptioon of Na+. Exists as an equilibrium mixture of the aldehyde and the hemiacetal. A representative lot contained approximately 7% d6. |
