| Applications | 3-Deoxy-D-pentulosonic Acid is a degradation product of D-xylose (X750750) and can be further converted following to two different paths. In the first path 3-Deoxy-D-pentulosonic Acid is split into glycoaldehyde and pyruvic acid by an aldolase and in the second path 3-Deoxy-D-pentulosonic Acid is converted to α-ketoglutarate by a dehydratase. |
